Betsoft Blackjack Casinos
Believe it or not; I just learned about Betsoft no more than a month ago. And they only got onto my raider because I’ve had to spend time reviewing their software for our websites.
Because they’re not as popular as, say, Real Time Gaming, Rival or Betsoft, I didn’t expect much.
But wow, was I surprised.
They claim to be the innovator and leader in true cinematic 3D gaming. And that they are. When I tested out their slots, I felt like I was playing a video game. And all the characters made me feel like I was watching a Pixar movie, especially during the bonus rounds.
Ironically, the only downside I experienced is when I had to review their software. I first tested their mobile blackjack game.
The result?
It was slow. So slow. It … was … like … this … slow. And even that didn’t stop them from telling you to be patient while they were dealing you your cards.
But that was on their mobile device. I had a much better experience testing out their single deck blackjack game (yes, a single deck game) at Drake Casino. The software was still slower than, say, Real Time Gaming, but not by much. And it was loads better than their mobile game.
Overall, I recommend giving a Betsoft casino a go. Below are all the blackjack games they offer, an overview of their rules, and an explanation of any side bets they offer. Check them out and see if any stand out to you.
But one word of caution – you might go there to play blackjack, but I’ll bet that you wind up trying out all of their other games, too.
Types of Blackjack Games Available at Betsoft Sites
Here are the blackjack games you’ll find at a Betsoft-powered casino.
American Blackjack – A natural pays 3-2, insurance pays 2-1, and dealers must draw to 16 / stand on 17. This game has a .05% house edge.
European Blackjack – A blackjack pays 3-2, insurance pays 2-1 and the dealer doesn’t peak for 21. Splits are on 9-11 only. This games has a .06% house edge.
Single Deck Blackjack – In this variation blackjacks pay 3-2, insurance pays 2-1 and there is a High / Low side bet for $1-$5. Players can only split once, double down after splitting once, and can only double on 10-11. This game has a .0575% house edge, and is one of the few (if not the only) single deck blackjack games you’ll find online.
Pirate 21 – This is similar to Pontoon in that no 10s are used. Any player blackjack will win, and naturals pay 3-2. Players can double down on any total and on aces, and they can split aces. The dealer has to stand on 17. There is a ‘Match’ side bet, that pays 9-1 for a suited match, and 4-1 for a non-suited match. This game has a .058% house edge.
21 Burn – This variation is unique to Betsoft. In this game you can bet on 3 hands at once. Natural blackjacks pay 1-1 and insurance pays 2-1. The dealer must hit a soft 17. Players are able to burn one card, which will pay 7-1 on an ace of spades, or 2-1 on any ace. This also gives the player the opportunity to see an additional card, improving their count.
Pontoon – A pontoon pays 2-1. This game has a house edge of .048%.
Super 7 – In this variation blackjacks will pay 3-2 and insurance will pay 2-1. The dealer must stand on 17. What is unique about this game is the $1 side bet. This will pay on hitting specific combinations of 7s. The odds aren’t very good, though, with 1 in 52 being the easiest combo to hit. I suggest avoiding this bet unless you’re in a gambling mood.
All of these games can be played for as much as $100-$500 per hand.
Betsoft’s Casino Software
Any Betsoft casino will have a download for Windows, and an instant play version for Mac and Linux users. Select casinos will also offer Betsoft’s American blackjack game for your Apple / Android mobile devices.
There’s more good news, too. Having access to their casino gives you more than 150 games to play. This includes the basics like roulette, craps, baccarat and video poker. But they also have 3D slots and heads up poker.
More than 20 games are available for mobile devices, although you’ll notice that this depends on the casino. But there is a blackjack and roulette game, and then the rest are slots.
I can’t recommend their games enough. I suggest visiting Betsoft’s website when you have time. Visit their Slots3 section, and under each game you’ll have the option to play the demo (you should), and to download and read a short PDF file about that particular slots theme (you should). In each file there is an explanation of the theme, the bonuses, spins, payouts and more. It shows you what the graphics look like, too.
All in all, Betsoft is an excellent software provider no matter what game you play. Of course, being as we’re blackjack players, all the other games are the proverbial icing on the cake.
